Each season, I tell myself to write less and let the images speak for themselves, but spending such exclusive days with couples and peeking into their most personal moments always makes me want to say a little something about them. And Rebecca and Marc, well they’re simply the sweetest. They celebrated their love with what I’m dubbing an almost-elopement–18 of their dearest family and friends–on top of Wisconsin atop the Baraboo Bluffs. The Inn at Wawanissee Point holds significant meaning to them and their story, and so they chose this luxury villa as the quintessential setting for their wedding ceremony. Loved ones witnessed their vows this warm June afternoon then enjoyed an intimate celebration at Driftless Glen Distillery, a gorgeous craft distillery nestled along the winding Baraboo River. (So basically, they charmed the pants off of everyone!) I savored photographing this unique wedding + getting to know their favorite people. Looking through their sparkler exit still has me laughing! A fun day combined with excitement and a few libations caused hysterics, and who knew it could be considered risky to have open flames near a distillery?! Haha! Rebecca + Marc, thank you seems too simple a phrase for choosing me to photograph your incredible wedding! XOXOs to you two!
