Oh, Abbie!!! We love this girl in our household…Abbie, also known as “Our Abbie” by Zoe and Gray! Yes, Abbie is a senior and our beloved babysitter, and had our Abbie never asked me to shoot her senior photographs, I probably never would have dipped my toe into this endeavor. BUT! And it’s a big one…I actually loved it. Like, flat out had a blast while Abbie and I giggled away. I waded through streams in my trusty Hunters (and I almost went under while reloading my film!) while Abbie bravely twirled barefoot in the stream, and we talked about all of the exciting things that are right on the horizon for her. I loved capturing this special moment of time in her life!

Watching my children grow so quickly pulls my heart in new directions each year with my photography, and I’m falling more in love with freezing the everyday. As much as I am 100% about living in the present, I am equally as much a nostalgia lover, and only in the recent years is it making sense. When you blink and your babies are already five, you feel that lump in your throat reminding you that everything is going to pass this quickly.
